Metamod 1.17.4 has been released.
You can get the new binaries at www.metamod.org
Changelog:
- Mod recognition and entities for Brain Bread 1.2, and Snow-War 2.0.
- Additional entities for Science & Industry 1.0, and Rival Species 1.2.
- Updated recognition and entities for Gangsta Wars 2.7. Note this removes support for Gangsta Wars 2.6 since 2.7 is incompatible with 2.6.
- Fixed a potential memory leak on plugins loading.
- Fixed a memory initialization issue.
- Fixed an indexing bug that could cause errors in meta list.
There will also be an update to AMX Mod X in the next week which will have special optimized support for evilspy's Metamod-p. |

| Anniversary of AMX Mod X |

Four days ago was the one year anniversary of the start of the AMX Mod X project (Forum started on 2004-01-25, CVS started on 2004-01-31).
Well, we don't have anything special planned, but it's nice to know that what was once a few patches has grown to be a very popular server administration tool, and has well lasted a year, even after Half-Life 2's release.
Also, we will release again. We have fixed a few minor issues, and Linux people have reported that AMX Mod X will only work with pingboost level 3 (not 1/2), which also must be fixed. This release will probably happen within the next 2-3 weeks, as right now we're crunching away at SourceMod, the rewrite of the AMX Mod framework for Half-Life 2.

The Attachment Mod has been deactivated because of some serious security flaws.
It will be reactivated after updating to the new version. In the meantime it isn't possible to download plugins and other attachments.
Hopefully it will be back up in a few days. Complaining about the situation won't help.
